An AI assessment is a dated snapshot of how your business appears inside AI assistants. We ask the questions your customers actually type, run them through four assistants, read every answer by hand and score where you show up. You finish with a report that names the gaps, the competitors taking your place and the first fixes to make.
Why we run these assessments
Nobody wakes up wondering why they don't appear in ChatGPT. They find out by accident. You ask about your own trade, two competitors come back in the answer and your name isn't there. That's usually the day this page starts to matter.
Search habits moved. People ask an assistant, read one answer and stop. There's no page two to scroll through and no ad to click past. When an assistant answers, it names a short list of businesses. If you're not on that list you're invisible at that exact moment and you'll never see it in your analytics because there was no click to record.
Most businesses have never checked. The ones who have usually find a gap between what they assume AI knows about them and what it actually says.
Here's the honest part. AI answers change. The models get updated and nobody controls what they say. An assessment can't guarantee you'll be recommended. That's not what it's for. It replaces guesswork with facts. Facts are worth more than another opinion about your marketing.
What the assessment checks
Whether you get named or cited in AI answers for your core services, in your suburbs.
Which competitors get named in your place.
What the assistants say when asked about you directly, across hours, location, services, reviews and pricing signals.
Whether the facts they repeat are right. Wrong hours and dead phone numbers come up more often than you'd think.
Which pages of your site the assistants pull from and which ones they ignore.
Whether AI crawlers can read your site at all. Plenty of sites block them without knowing.
How your visibility stacks up against the three or four competitors you actually care about.
What you get
Visibility score. The share of answers where your business appears, stated with the count behind it. A typical first report reads "0 of 36 answers".
Assistant by assistant breakdown. ChatGPT, Perplexity Sonar, Google AI Mode and Claude, scored separately because they don't agree with each other.
The prompt matrix. Every question we asked, whether you were named and who got named instead.
Category scores for AI visibility prompts, AI audit prompts and SEO prompts.
Your competitor set. The businesses AI treats as the default answer in your market.
A prioritised fix list. The first five things to do, in order, with the reason each one matters.
A 30 minute walkthrough. We go through the report on a call and answer your questions in plain English.
The report is yours to keep. Hand it to your own web developer, sit on it for a month or bring it back to us. All three are fine.
How the assessment runs
We build your prompt set. Nine buyer intent questions shaped around your services, your suburbs and the way customers phrase things. They sit in three groups: AI visibility, AI audit and SEO.
We ask all four assistants. Nine prompts across ChatGPT, Perplexity Sonar, Google AI Mode and Claude comes to 36 answers. Every one gets logged with the date. We read every answer by hand. Software can count mentions. It can't tell you whether your name landed as a recommendation or as an afterthought. We check both.
We score and compare. Your share of answers sits next to the competitors who keep coming up. You get the report and the walkthrough. Then you decide what happens next. If the answer is nothing, that's a real answer too.
Turnaround is 14 business days from the kickoff call.
Who it suits
It works well for established local businesses with a real website and a Google Business Profile. Service businesses, trades, clinics, professional firms and agencies in competitive markets get the most out of it.
It's not for everyone. If you don't have a website yet, fix that first. If your entire pipeline comes from one suburb and word of mouth, you've got bigger priorities. And if you're after a promise that you'll be number one in ChatGPT, we're the wrong people to call because nobody can honestly make that promise.

We'll run the prompts, read all 36 answers and send you the report. If you'd rather do the fixing yourself, that's fine. The report is still yours.

Why doesn't ChatGPT mention my business?
It builds answers from sources it can read and sources it trusts. If your site is thin, blocked from crawlers or silent about the service, there's nothing to pull from. It also leans on what other people say about you, like directories, review sites and forums. There's no switch to flip and no listing to claim that fixes it overnight.
How do I check whether my business shows up in ChatGPT?
Ask it yourself. Phrase the question the way a customer would rather than the way you'd describe your own business. Do it a few times and note who gets named. That's a useful starting point, but a handful of prompts on one assistant isn't an assessment. Answers shift between assistants and they shift with the wording of the question.
Can anyone guarantee I'll be recommended by ChatGPT?
No. That's rubbish and anyone promising it is selling something they can't deliver. The assistants decide what they say and the models change underneath everyone. Any provider offering a guaranteed spot either doesn't understand the technology or hopes you don't.
Will AI make up false information about my business?
It repeats what it can find, including old material. A closed phone number, a previous address, a service you dropped three years ago. The fix is to correct the source and make the current facts easy to read. The assessment shows you what's being repeated before you spend money on anything else.
Do I still need SEO if I'm doing AI visibility work?
Yes. The fundamentals still do the heavy lifting. Clean site structure, fast pages and real information that answers a real question. AI visibility work sits on top of that base. Anyone selling it as a replacement for the basics is rebadging old SEO with a new name.
How long until I see a change?
Not in a week. Fixes have to be published, crawled and picked up. That takes months rather than days. The assessment gives you a starting line with a date on it, so you can tell later whether the work actually moved anything.
